Wonderful, Heartfelt Favors For Valentine’s Day Weddings

Wedding favors are one way to show your guests just how much you appreciate them. Small trinkets and mementos serve as a reminder of your special day and as a thank you gift to guests. There are many budget-friendly items that make perfect wedding favors, particularly if your wedding falls on Valentine’s Day. From the practical to the light-hearted, you’re sure to find a favor that suits you. Choose souvenirs that achieve a balance of these and reflect the bride’s interests or wedding theme.

Presentation of favors is important. Consider topping the gift off with some patterned paper or ribbon and personalized tags with the bride and groom’s names, wedding date and possibly a love note. These finishing touches can either be bought or handmade.

Below is a list of fantastic favor ideas if your wedding is on the most romantic of days, Valentine’s Day. February 14th is the perfect date for your declaration of love.

Jordan Almonds

These can be arranged in cute little boxes or bags. Try a heart-shaped box or a bag covered in heart patterns; finish it off with heart stickers, heart-shaped tags or heart-patterned ribbons.

Kisses and Hugs

Why not hand out a delicious assortment of Hershey Hugs and Kisses, decoratively presented in gift bags or boxes. You could always throw in some heart-shaped confetti and attach a love note to make it extra special.

Cookies

Homemade cookies will warm the hearts (not to mention the stomachs) of your guests. Bake cookies in heart shapes or decorate them with icing hearts. Alternatively, write the bride and groom’s names or wedding date on the top surface. Present the cookies in cute bags or cellophane with red ribbon.

Styrofoam Hearts

Purchase a simple Styrofoam heart from a craft store and decorate it as you wish. Perhaps you’d like to write your names and wedding date on either side or you can attach bows, scented flowers or heart stickers. Attach a loop to the back of the heart and your guests can hang the heart in their homes.

Champagne Glasses

Champagne glasses make great favors as they can be used at the event and taken home as a gift afterwards. For a special touch, fill the glasses with goodies such as candies, confetti or scented hearts. Tie a ribbon or bow around the stem of the glass for a festive look.

Silk Rose

Long-stemmed roses will melt the hearts of your guests. Buy a bunch made of red silk and give one to guests as they leave.

Compilation of Love Songs

Compile a CD of classic love songs and give each guest a copy. You can present them in CD cases with a photo of the bride and groom on the cover, some red ribbon and perhaps a heart-shaped nametag.
